The Problem


Communication among all involved parties is essential to ensuring safety standards on cargo trains. Rail Cargo Group needed to enable it's field operators, who are in charge of logistic tasks, to safely eliminate risks when carrying out inspections on cargo trains. The inspections involves collecting and processing data and multimedia information, like dynamic reports, to cut down potential costs due to gaps in cargo quality standards.

The Solution


Rail Cargo deployed RealWear smart glasses running OverIT field collaboration solution, which is a combination of Augmented Reality and Artificial Intelligence, to optimise their field service processes.

The combination of RealWear and OverIT allows on-site technicians to perform their inspections with their hands-free, ensuring that the highest safety and production standards are being carried out, whatever the working conditions.

The solution has also allowed workers to easily share and support skill-development and knowledge transfer across the business, with the use of image and video recording in real-time.
